Ashburn Girls Softball League (AGSL) Summer – July 2017 8U/10U Pitching Clinics

Summer – July 2017 8U/10U Pitching Clinics

Even though its the summer, it’s important that our pitchers continue to work and get their practice in. Dedicated pitchers spend many hours mastering their skill. This summer AGSL is offering 2 week clinics every month to help girls work on pitching. Our hope is that this extra time and  dedication over the summer will help the fall season. It is important for 8U players to begin pitching early. Building up their muscles and learning skills for when they are able to pitch during 10U. Starting now will only benefit them as a softball player and softball pitcher.

When:July 18 and July 25

Times: 5:00pm – 6:00 pm (8U) 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm (8U/10U)

Available times 9:30am to noon both days
or, 1:30 to 4pm both days

Join us for two days packed with information, skill building, and lots of specific ways to help you practice more effectively and perform efficiently.  You can choose morning or afternoon sessions each day.  These sessions are exclusively for TincherPitching Students who think big, whether age 10 or 18.  We suggest students have been working with us at least 4 months and have a solid feel for the form
before joining this group.
Read below for Option 2 for an opportunity for newer or lesser experienced students.
The daily groups will cover everything.  There will be a heavy dose of Speed and Power.  You will learn drills, based upon your specific needs, to develop explosiveness in your pitches.  On the second day, get ready to make the ball move.  We will focus on moving pitches and changeups most of the session.  Again, there is no specific age requirement, but an expectation that you are ready to break down barriers holding you back.  There are only 12 openings in each session and several Instructors will be on hand to make sure
each pitcher gets lots of attention.

Option 2
Cost $95
Time:  5-7pm Tuesday, July 11
Maximum of 6 for this one night session
For students just becoming comfortable with Tincher Pitching, a one evening refresher/development course will be offered.  This one is 2-hours in length and will focus heavily upon making sure your form is efficient, that you are getting every bit of energy out of the hips, and explore moving pitches and off-speed.

Notes:  –Outdoors, but have indoor shoes in case weather forces us inside.
            — Each pitcher needs a catcher.
